Our VR range of standard GRP Cabinets, known for their low maintenance and corrosion-resistant properties, has remained a popular choice over the years. Available in sixteen standard sizes, these cabinets, featuring strong panels with secure locks and durable hinges, provide practical, cost-effective protection from the elements.
Bespoke GRP Enclosures
Adept GRP specialises in designing and manufacturing quality custom-made GRP Enclosures (also known as GRP Kiosks) made to order precisely to meet your requirements. You can specify all the details such as the external size, specification of construction, types of locks, furnishings and hinges, as well as ventilation features and number of doors, ideal for housing sensitive electrical equipment or materials.
Steel Kiosks
Our VRS steel kiosks are crafted from 1.5 or 2mm Zintec steel, offering exceptional weather protection in all weather conditions with IP55 certification and ensuring sound earth continuity. These kiosks are not only durable and secure but also designed to have a substantial life expectancy. With eight standard sizes available from stock or on a short lead time, they provide a reliable and weatherproof solution for various storage and quality security needs.

What are the lock options?
Standard lock is a night latch type; a hasp & staple or other options are available on request for an additional cost.
Do the cabinets come with a backboard?
Yes, all standard cabinets include an 18mm surface-treated ply backboard.
What are the cabinet types?
– VR1-VR4: Closed-based with a single skin GRP floor.
– VR5-VR16: Open-based with a 120mm internal fixing flange.
How are the cabinets fixed?
Fix to a stepped base using M10 anchor bolts through the floor or fixing flange, then seal with Arbomast type sealant.
Can the cabinets be wall-mounted?
Yes, they can be wall-mounted.
Can the roof support weight?
The roof is not designed to support weight;
DO NOT PLACE ANY WEIGHT ON IT.
What are the standard colours?
Standard colours are Green (BS 14-C-39) and Grey (BS 10-A-05). Custom non-metallic BS or RAL colours are available for an additional cost.
Can the cabinets be insulated?
Yes, foam insulation can be added to VR13-VR16 cabinets, which have a 12mm ply core. The VR1-VR12 cabinets have a single skin construction.
What if I lose my keys?
We do not supply spare keys; contact a locksmith to replace the barrel of the standard night-latch locks.
What is the IP rating?
Designed to meet IP54 as standard; can be upgraded to IP65 with a single skin floor and clamp latches.
What are the delivery options?
– VR1-VR12: Delivered by national carrier with tail-lift offloading.
– VR13-VR15: National carrier delivery requiring a suitable forklift for offloading.
– VR16: Delivered via flatbed or hiab lorry (pricing on application).
What are the cabinet types?
– VR1-VR4: Closed-based with a single skin GRP floor.
– VR5-VR16: Open-based with a 120mm internal fixing flange.
What is the lead time?
Typically, stock items are delivered within 3-5 working days; non-stock items have a lead time of 4-6 weeks.
Can the cabinets come with electrics?
VR13-VR16 cabinets have ‘E’ versions that include a standard electrical fit-out; electrical items can be added to any product for an additional cost.
Are the cabinets suitable for marine environments?
Yes, they can meet IP54 and be upgraded to IP65 with stainless steel (st/st) fixings available for an additional cost.
What maintenance is required?
Minimal maintenance is needed; clean the exterior and remove debris from the roof. Only moving parts like hinges and locks require regular attention.
What should I do if the GRP is scratched?
A repair kit with instructions can be provided; send a photo to assess if the damage is repairable.
Can larger cabinets be delivered flat-packed?
Yes, VR13-VR16 cabinets can be delivered flat-packed (additional charges may apply), and assembly is straightforward with instructions provided.
